It is finished!
Just like this frog, I am taking a little break this afternoon. For more than the last few weeks, I have been consumed with moving. Today we begin living. Everything that we need to live is where it belongs. Sure there are boxes to deal with, pictures to hang. But for now, I am satisfied. I am thankful. I am beyond grateful.

Vroom, vroom!
My friend, Lynn from A Mother's Journal, asked a great question today. Does anyone know how to stop time? As I sit here, I am trying to figure out the very same thing.
Thankfully, the time constraints I am under right now are of my own making. It is my desire to move as soon as possible. But reality is that I don't have to be out of here until March 1st. (Tell that to my heart.)
It's been a long year, living in limbo. I can see the end in sight. Tomorrow night, if we can pull it off, we can be camping there, essentially putting an end to limbo-land. But now, I am beginning to feel sick. My throat is kind of sore. I am nauseated. I am congested. Oh dear. That really puts a kink into my grand plans! (Tell that to my brain!!!) Tell that to my husband and children who are eager as I am to be "camping out" tomorrow.
I was thinking this could be an allergic reaction to the dust I stirred up at the new place on Sunday. At least that was what I thought until my tummy started turning somersaults. I am praying this will blow over quickly. perhaps right now is a good time to step back and set some new goals. I will get there. I will. Just maybe not tomorrow.

Missing You
Have you seen this, yet?
Oh, yes, I do miss you, Mr. Bush.
This is a real billboard. Read the story here.

One Week From Friday
I've been counting down the days for a long time. It is finally almost here. Just one week from Friday we will get the keys to our new home. Each time we've gone over there to drop off something for the garage, it has been hard to imagine that we'd be living there soon. The house seems so lonely and dark when we arrive. It is bursting with potential, though.
Things are coming together. I have been given a sectional sofa and some tables. I will get to retire my old couch, broken leg and all. It's been held up by a cinder-block for the last two years. I found a great dresser at Good Will yesterday. It is solid and was very inexpensive. Those were my two criteria!
I have been making slow, but steady progress packing. Today I emptied out a small dresser of CD's and DVD's. I wish I could have purged more of them. I don't know why I hold on to them. Maybe for the same reason I have vynl records and old sewing machines I don't know how to use.
The next step is to work on the kitchen and then the kids rooms. Of course their rooms are a mess as usual. We've decided to give up a bay in the garage to store some of their things so that their rooms won't be so cluttered.
The rest of the week will go quickly with the busyness of life on top of moving. I hope you have a great one!
