I am a wife, mother, cat lover, nature nut in love with my Creator, seeking to create a simple life.
I’ve been married for 21 years to my dear husband, Jeff, the smartest CPA I know. I am the mother of 3 blessings (ages 17, 16, and 14), 2 of whom are educated at home. I am a follower of Jesus, very much a work in progress!
And, as one of my favorite authors, Gene Stratton-Porter, so aptly said..

This blog is an attempt to document our excellent life experiences, such as camping, going to museums, visiting parks, the library, swimming, hiking, riding bikes, growing things, feeding birds, watching nature, photography, the list is growing!
Because we are blessed to live 3 hours from Lake Michigan, where my husband grew up and his family still lives, you might see quite a few beach pictures here, too, as each year we strive to visit our favorite state park, Indiana Dunes State Park, several times.
Above all, may your visit here be an encouragement to you. It is my hope that my blog reflects the heart of Christ to those who linger.
1 Timothy 4:12 says,"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
May my words here be such an example.
