Monday...
Dear grandparents came for a lovely visit. The boys spent long hours building their Legos, too. In the evening, Jeff got our Androids up and going. The learning curve was quite small. I really, really love it!
Tuesday...
Jeff went back to work. I got the laundry caught up, which was an enormous job.
And the kids played in the two inches of snow that came and soon melted.
Wednesday...
Went to see my Grandma in the nursing home. She knows who we are and sometimes seems "with it", but for the most part she is in her own little happy world.
Thursday...
Grace and I went to get groceries, which turned out to be a great trip. No one else was out shopping. The stores were so quiet. Very nice. Other than making a huge pan of lasagna, my day was pretty unproductive.
I am starting to dread next week being thrown back into the busyness. Stopping to rest a week is a good thing, but makes me only want more. Now I am looking forward to summer vacation!

| Christmas dinner! |
Friday...
More of the same! Although, Jeff gets off early and Ryan is going to a sleepover with Nana and Granddaddy, so the day will probably fly.
This weekend...
The kids are all going to Nana and Granddaddy's house for New Year's Eve. Jeff and I will be going out to dinner with a gift card that came our way.
Happy New Year to you!
~Jenn

That looks like a good, busy week with beautiful things. Great picture of grandma in the nursing home. I wish you a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI'm really dreading next week too. I'm quite enjoying being a little bit lazy! Not too lazy, just a little ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening out! That is a nice gift for a busy mom and dad who don't get much time alone. :) My girls are babysitting tonight for another family who are in the same situation.
ReplyDeleteStill no snow, Jenn. Oh, correction, I see a few flakes floating down. But nothing accumulating. What a weird winter! (I love it!)
Enjoy your evening out! That is a nice gift for a busy couple who don't get to be alone much. :) My girls are babysitting tonight for another family in the same situation.
ReplyDeleteNo snow yet, Jenn. What a weird winter. (I love it!)
What a nice week...I'm with you. I sure could use a second week off...I can't believe it's almost over. It's like one big blur & I don't feel like I accomplished anything. Oh well. Love seeing your extended family...I feel like I know them all already. :) Have a SUPER weekend.
ReplyDeleteJenn,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures! We've yet to get any more snow since Halloween weekend. A few inches would be nice.
Your Christmas dinner looks delicious. :)
Enjoy your special dinner with your husband!
Blessings,
Sounds like a very nice week! Love all the pictures - beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed and joyous new year!
God bless you - Julie
Sounds like a great week. I hope you have fun going out to dinner. We are laying low this New Years, maybe a family board game. :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh do enjoy your dinner out Jenn. We are having a quiet evening all together as a family. Said teenagers are out at the moment picking a dvd to hire and some snacks to make. I think the new XMen movie is coming home.
ReplyDeleteSnow wow, as it's summer here it's daylight until about 9:30 at night. Makes for long holiday days. Our homeschool finished a couple of weeks ago, and we'll begin again mid January. However, state here schools start back in February.
Happy New Year to you all, ((((HUGS))))))
Date Night!!! Oh, I will not be jealous ;-) That sounds fab.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed 2012!
ReplyDelete14 would be down right glorious right now. the Weather Channel says our temp is -40 but our home thermometer is reading -45. Back to bed for me!
